We store nothing. Here’s exactly what that means.

What Daycare Photo Download does

Daycare Photo Download (a Chrome extension) downloads the photos and videos already visible in your own Procare Connect parent account and saves them to your computer. That is its single purpose.

What we collect

Nothing about your child or your photos. Specifically:

Your Procare password is entered on Procare’s own login page. It is never visible to us or to the software we ship.
Your photos and videos travel directly from Procare’s servers to your computer. They never pass through any server we operate.
Your children’s information (names, activity, anything else in Procare) stays between your device and Procare.
No analytics SDKs, no tracking of your child. The software reports plain counts after a run, described below.

What stays on your device

Your license key (so you don’t retype it).
A record of which photos were already downloaded and the date of your last backup (so re-runs only fetch new photos).
The downloaded photos and videos themselves, in the folder you chose.

All of it is stored locally. On a computer and on Android it is deleted when you uninstall or clear the app’s data. The iPhone app also keeps the license key and the list of already-saved photos in your iPhone’s Keychain, so reinstalling doesn’t save every photo twice. It never leaves your phone; email us if you want it cleared and we’ll walk you through it.

The three things that can leave your device

1. Your purchase email. When you buy a license, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your payment and we email your license key to the address you used at checkout.

2. A check-in after each run. After a run, the software tells us: which license key was used (none for a free preview), a random identifier for the device, which platform (Chrome, iPhone, or Android), and plain counts: how many photos and videos were saved, how many were skipped as already saved, how many children were selected, and how many dates were found in notes and added to your calendar. That is the entire message. Never which photos, whose account, the daycare, or anything about your child. We use the counts to honor the unused-year refund, to spot keys shared far beyond one household, and to say how many photos parents have saved with it. Counts are stored against your license and, without your email, in Google Analytics.

2b. Crash reports from the phone apps. If the app crashes or a save fails, it sends a report to our error-tracking service (Sentry) with the kind of failure, an error code, the app version, and the same plain counts. Never a photo, a filename, a note, your email, or your Procare login. We use it to fix problems before you have to tell us about them.

3. Your email, only if you give it to us. Before the free preview you can leave an email so we can remind you to finish before your account closes. It is optional; Skip runs the preview without it. If you do, we send at most three reminders over two weeks, and product news only if you tick that box. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe. Emails you give us are stored with our payment processor (Stripe) so buying later reuses the same record.

4. Subscriptions bought in the app. Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) handles the payment; we never see your card. Our subscription service (RevenueCat) tells the app whether your subscription is active, using an anonymous ID it creates, not your name or email.

Delete your data

Email support@daycarephotodownload.com from the address you used (or include your license key) and write “delete my data”. Within 30 days we delete your email, your usage counts, and your reminder sign-up, and we confirm when it’s done. We keep only what the law requires for paid orders (payment records at Stripe, Apple, or Google). Photos and videos are never on our servers, so there is nothing of those to delete; what’s on your device stays yours. Crash reports are deleted automatically after 90 days.

Third parties

The software talks to exactly one third party: Procare Connect, using your own session, to fetch your own media. We are not affiliated with Procare Solutions.

Cookies and tracking on this website

Everything above is about the software. This part is about this website, daycarephotodownload.com. The promise is the same: your child’s photos and your Procare password never touch our servers, and none of the tools below ever see them. They only see how people use this website.

Needed to run the site (always on)

dpd_consent remembers your cookie choice. It lasts 6 months if you’re in the UK, EU or Switzerland, and 12 months everywhere else.
dpd_geo holds the country (and in the US, the state) that our host, Vercel, works out from your connection. That tells us whether we have to ask before using cookies. It lasts a day, and only that short code is saved, not your IP address.
dpd_ref keeps a daycare’s referral code for 90 days if you came through a daycare’s link, so its offer applies at checkout.

Analytics: Google Analytics (only with your OK where that’s required)

Google Analytics counts visits, which pages people read, clicks on our buy and download buttons, and purchases (an order number and the amount, never your name or email). It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_….

We also keep our own cookie, dpd_utm, for 90 days. It records how you found us: the campaign tags in the link, the website you came from, and the page you landed on. If you buy, this is saved with your subscription at Stripe so we can tell which channels work. We only set it while analytics or advertising is on.

Advertising: Google, Meta, Pinterest and Reddit (only with your OK where that’s required)

These companies’ tags show us whether our ads lead to visits, downloads and purchases, and they may let those companies show our ads to people who visited this site. They set their own cookies (for example _gcl_…, _fbp, _pin_unauth, _rdt_uuid). They also receive the page you’re on and events like “started checkout” or “purchase” with the amount. While advertising is on, we keep the click ID from an ad link (gclid, fbclid, epik, rdt_cid) in dpd_utm so a purchase can be matched to the ad. When you tap an app store button, our server also tells Reddit about that same tap, with the Reddit click ID, your IP address and browser type, so Reddit can count it even if its tag was blocked. That only happens while advertising is on. We never send these companies your name, your email, or anything about your child.

Your choices

In the UK, EU and Switzerland we ask first. Analytics and advertising stay off until you say yes, and “Reject all” is as easy as “Accept all.”
Everywhere else, they’re on by default. You can turn either one off any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. Some US state laws count advertising cookies as “selling” or “sharing” personal information. The link with that name at the bottom of every page turns advertising off in that browser.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends this signal, we treat it as the same opt-out automatically. Advertising stays off, and you don’t have to do anything.
Your choice lives in this browser. We don’t have accounts, so set it on each browser or device you use. Clearing your cookies resets it.
Turning something off stops those tags. We also delete the cookies they set on this site wherever the browser allows it, and remove ad click IDs from dpd_utm.

When cookies are off

Google’s tags don’t set or read cookies. They may still send Google a basic, cookie-free signal that a page was viewed or a purchase happened, with no identifier for you. Google calls this “consent mode” and uses it to estimate totals. Meta, Pinterest and Reddit tags don’t load at all.
