We store nothing. Here’s exactly what that means.
What Daycare Photo Download does
Daycare Photo Download (a Chrome extension) downloads the photos and videos already visible in your own Procare Connect parent account and saves them to your computer. That is its single purpose.
What we collect
Nothing. We operate no servers that receive your data. Specifically:
- Your Procare password is entered on Procare’s own login page. It is never visible to us or to the software we ship.
- Your photos and videos travel directly from Procare’s servers to your computer. They never pass through any server we operate.
- Your children’s information (names, activity, anything else in Procare) stays between your device and Procare.
- No analytics or tracking of you or your child. The one thing the licensed software reports is described below.
What stays on your device
- Your license key (so you don’t retype it).
- A record of which photos were already downloaded and the date of your last backup (so re-runs only fetch new photos).
- The downloaded photos and videos themselves, in the folder you chose.
All of it is stored locally and is deleted when you uninstall or clear the software’s data.
The two things that leave your device
1. Your purchase email. When you buy a license, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your payment and we email your license key to the address you used at checkout.
2. A license check-in. After a successful backup, the licensed software tells our license server: this license key was used today, on this device (a random identifier). That’s the entire message — never which photos, how many, whose account, or anything about your child. We use it to honor our unused-year refund guarantee and to spot license keys being shared far beyond one household. Free-trial downloads send nothing.
Third parties
The software talks to exactly one third party: Procare Connect, using your own session, to fetch your own media. We are not affiliated with Procare Solutions.
